Bergolin 2C Aero Clean Topcoat 2D6500

Bergolin 2C Aero Clean Topcoat 2D6500 is a solvent-based, polishable, and sandable two-component polyurethane clear coat for coating various substrates. It offers excellent weather and UV resistance and provides long-lasting protection against chalking and yellowing. After curing, the film forms a superhydrophobic, microstructured surface with very low surface energy: water beads up into nearly spherical droplets and carries dust and dirt particles away with it (self-cleaning effect). Dust, soot, and other deposits find little traction on the smooth, low-energy surface and are largely washed away automatically by rain; stubborn deposits can be removed with significantly less effort. As a result, the surface stays clean longer, cleaning intervals are extended, and aerodynamic efficiency is maintained. The highly water-repellent properties also delay ice formation on exposed areas and make it easier to remove ice. Combined with its good adhesion to metallic substrates and existing coatings, as well as its excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, it is suitable as a durable, dirt- and ice-repellent topcoat for demanding outdoor applications.

• Application method: Cup gun: Pressure 4–5 bar, nozzle 1.5–1.6 mm
• Application conditions: Air temperature at least +15 °C; relative humidity 20–80%.
• Shelf life: approx. 12 months in the original, unopened container at temperatures between +4 °C and +40 °C (protect from frost and moisture)
