Steodur PUR Balancing Compound 2D799

Steodur PUR Casting Compound 2D799 is a high-quality, solvent-free, two-component polyurethane casting compound that was specifically developed for filling cavities and static balancing. The formulation is characterized by particularly low exothermic activity during curing as well as excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. Thanks to its thixotropic properties and extremely low shrinkage, it can be easily applied to complex geometries without running or sagging, and after curing, it achieves high mechanical strength and very good resistance to aging. This makes it ideal for applications requiring precise, permanent filling and mass distribution—such as in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or the balancing of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) components. If the material’s own weight is insufficient, the casting compound can be weighted down by adding suitable fillers (e.g., steel shot).
