Like the rotor blades, the nacelles of wind turbines are exposed to different weather conditions. They assume an important protective function for the gears and units required for the smooth operation of the systems.
Bergolin offers solvent- and styrene-free gelcoats for epoxy or polyester and vinyl ester resins. The gelcoats, which can also be used as topcoats for manufacturing the nacelles of wind turbines, have a special protective function with high resistance to weathering and erosion as well as good flexibility and impact strength. They are also easy to process.
Layer thickness: approx. 75 - 100 µm
